Overview

Join us for the TDC Social Club regional Design Tour in Ballarat. Hosted by Mick Moloney of Moloney Architects, the Ballarat Design Tour provides VIP access to their acclaimed projects, Lyons House and a new Country Road flagship store located in a converted neo-classical bank.

Awarded Renovation/Addition Project of the Year at the 2023 HIA Western Victorian Housing Awards, Lyons House is a stunning example of the studio's design ethos of creating solid, bold and modern architectural forms for functional living.

During this full day immersive experience Mick will provide insights into the studio's design philosophy, client briefs, creative response, site challenges, and the key to collaborating with trusted trades to deliver exceptional design outcomes for clients.

Lunch at Babae

We'll also enjoy an exclusive 4 course degustation lunch by chef Tim Foster at Ballarat's famed new restaurant Babae.

Discover the best of regional Victoria at Babae, an intimate fine dining restaurant that champions local growers and producers, including their own garden. Babae emphasises the provenance and sustainability of their food, partnering with farmers, breeders, and providores from the Goldfields region and beyond.

Their seasonal menus are crafted in collaboration with local producers and their kitchen garden, ensuring unique and tailored ingredients for an exceptional dining experience. Helmed by Culinary Director and Head Chef Tim Foster, who held a chef’s hat for 9 consecutive years from the The Age’s Good Food Guide for award winning Kyneton restaurant Source Dining.
