Introducing the TDC Interior Design Client Agreement
A client agreement is the foundation of your business, setting out the rights and obligations of all involved and gives both you and your client the confidence in the process.
The Design Coach founder director of MR MITCHELL, Andrew Mitchell brings a wealth of understanding of the unique needs and complexities of the industry, and his valuable experiences ensure that the Client Agreement Package are sensitive to the commercial realities as a designer.
Sharon Givoni is a commercial and intellectual property lawyer who has worked with many interior designers over the years, and fully understands the challenges and common issues that arise.
What legal obligations are there in a client relationship?
There are legal rights and obligations for both the interior designer and the client. For this reason, it is crucial that designers have an agreement signed before commencing a new brief. Clearly outlining the relationship in this way protects both parties and gives certainty throughout the process.

For projects involving construction, external contractors/trades and collaborations with other disciplines, we recommend the Comprehensive Client Agreement - see below.
