Interior Designers, Decorators, Architects and Students.

SEMINAR OVERVIEW:

Considering how design impacts the environment is no longer a choice - for interior design professionals it's a responsibility.  However, sustainability doesn't need to be  uninspiring or complicated!  In our modern world of options and technological advances, we can make change happen in small and beautiful ways.

Together we'll learn the essential elements that make the most impact, including how to specify sustainable products and where to discover resources to make significant change.  Our expert Craig Harris will help guide us towards a more sustainable future for all our design practices.  We will also introduce Lara Cameron and Caitlin Klooger, founders of inspirational textile company Ink and Spindle (our beautiful venue for the evening). Learn a little about their journey to establishing an internationally renowned business that champions sustainable practices.

ABOUT CRAIG:

Craig is the founder of LID Consulting - specialists in Low Impact Development.  They are environmentally sustainable development consultants who help deliver better precincts, subdivisions, buildings and organisations by raising the bar with smart sustainable design and waste solutions to create buildings that work with the planet, not against it.  Craig and the team at LID Consulting are passionate about promoting and educating the building and design industry - and society - about what it actually means to behave in sustainable ways in the process of building design and construction; inform people about the little things that add up to the big things.  Together they aim to raise the sustainability standards of buildings and developments in our cities, one project at a time.
